Barclays Private Bank has confirmed the departure of Nitin Singh, its Asia CEO, as the bank removes the regional head role under a broader reorganisation to a market-led structure.
Singh, based in Mumbai, joined in September 2023 and had oversight of the India and Singapore businesses. His exit comes as Barclays implements changes aimed at simplifying local structures and strengthening client coordination.
Adrish Ghosh, currently Head of Distribution for Private Bank India, has been appointed interim Head of Private Bank India. In Singapore, the business continues to be led by CEO Evonne Tan. Both report directly to Annabelle Bryde, Head of Private Bank International.
“The new approach puts the client at the centre and organises our global resources across locations to best meet their needs, irrespective of jurisdiction and booking centre,” Barclays said in a statement. “Asia remains a central priority for Barclays Private Bank International, with a continued focus on delivering for clients and building on momentum in the region.”
The market-led model was first introduced in the Middle East in the second quarter of 2025, where Barclays appointed former HSBC executive Farzad Billimoria as Head of Private Bank UAE. The bank said the framework will be extended across Asia, Europe and Africa.
