Barclays Private Bank has strengthened its investment management team in Singapore with the hire of a former Nomura executive.
Barclays Private Bank has appointed Levia Goh as a portfolio analyst within its investment management team in Singapore, according to a statement. She reports to Ong Shun Wei, head of investment management Singapore, who in turn reports to London-based global co-head of investment management Olivier Asselin.
Goh joins from Nomura, where she was part of the Japanese bank’s discretionary portfolio management team, overseeing portfolios for high net worth and institutional clients. Prior to that, she worked at St. James’s Place Wealth Management and Bank of Singapore.
“[Goh] appointment marks the continued expansion of Barclays Private Bank’s Investment Management team in Singapore, further strengthening its role as the bank’s investment hub in Asia,” Barclays said. “The Singapore team forms part of the bank’s global Investment Management platform, delivering global investment expertise and local portfolio management capabilities to clients not just across the region, but also globally.”
