Bank of Singapore continues its hiring spree with the latest addition of a former Julius Baer executive tasked with the coverage of the Philippines market.

Bank of Singapore has appointed Aline Pacheco as market group head for ASEAN, according to a statement, effective October 12 and reporting to Vi Sun Yang, head of private banking, ASEAN. In the role, Pacheco will lead coverage for the Philippines.

Pacheco has over 25 years of experience, most recently as group head, Southeast Asia at Julius Baer in Singapore, where she led a team of 30 relationship managers and assistant relationship managers. Prior to that, she held senior leadership positions at UBS, including market team head Philippines, head of equities APAC, and head of direct access clients advisory APAC.

“Aline is a highly respected private banker with extensive experience across ASEAN, especially in the Philippines. She has a strong track record of serving ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients, and a proven ability to build and grow successful teams. These are invaluable as we make a strong push to accelerate growth in our ASEAN franchise,” Yang said.

Bank of Singapore has been on a hiring spree in Southeast Asia, including the recent appointment of 20-year UBS veteran Cecil Yeo as market group head for ASEAN to lead coverage for Thailand.
