Zurich-based EFG International has appointed a 30-year private banking veteran as the chief executive officer of its advisory office in Dubai to support the bank’s broader Middle East strategy.
EFG International has appointed Ranjit Khanna as CEO of its Dubai advisory office, according to a statement, effective August 26 and reporting to Patrick Ramsey, head of continental Europe and Middle East. Under the strategic leadership of Soha Nashaat, executive chair of EFG International Middle East, Khanna will lead the bank’s growth ambition for the UAE while supporting the execution of the broader regional strategy.
Khanna has more than 30 years of private banking experience, most recently as chief executive of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) at Bank of Singapore. Previously, he held various leadership roles at UBP, Coutts, Sarasin, and Standard Chartered.

EFG first opened its Dubai advisory office in 2019 which currently houses more than 90 professionals serving private banking clients across the Middle East.
