EFG Private Bank, the UK-based private banking arm of Swiss private banking group EFG International, has launched a new Independent Asset Management (IAM) platform.
The launch of the platform marks a “significant expansion” of the private bank’s services in the UK market.
In a LinkedIn post, EFG Private Bank shared that the IAM team will be led by Ian Wright, and will leverage the “strength and track record of our global IAM business” as well as bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the UK wealth management community.
Wright joined EFG Private Bank in March 2023 as the project IAM lead. He has previously worked for institutions such as Lombard Odier, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, holding senior roles within the IAM sector.
Michael Vlahovic, head of private banking at EFG Private Bank, said: “We are delighted to be launching our IAM Desk, further expanding the services we offer to independent asset managers and their clients and reinforcing EFG’s commitment to growth and investment in the UK.
“There is a real gap in the market for a premium IAM service, particularly as we continue to see healthy growth in the number of entrepreneurial multi-family offices and wealth managers looking for private banks such as EFG to serve their sophisticated client base.”
