Former BOS managing director joins UOB Private Bank

An ex-Bank of Singapore managing director has joined the private wealth management arm of UOB as a regional market head for North Asia.

UOB Private Bank has appointed Dennis Hong as regional market head, Greater China and North Asia, according to a statement, effective September 2026. In the role, he will be tasked with leading growth and development in key markets including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. He will be responsible for shaping market strategy, driving client acquisition, enhancing advisory capabilities, and leading teams across the region.

Based in Singapore, he will report to UOB Private Bank head Chew Mun Yew.

Hong has extensive banking experience, most recently as a managing director and APAC market group head at Bank of Singapore. Prior to that, he worked in various units within OCBC, Bank of Singapore’s parent, across the investment banking and corporate banking businesses. Outside of finance, he was also previously a deputy superintendent of the Singapore Police Force.
