HSBC has appointed Benoit Douchin as chief operating officer for Global Private Banking (GPB) in Asia Pacific, effective 21 July 2025.
Douchin will lead key initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, technology platforms and client-facing digital services. He reports jointly to Lok Yim, head of GPB for Asia Pacific, and Jean Nabaa, interim COO for International Wealth and Premier Banking and COO for GPB and Wealth and Premier Solutions.
Douchin brings over 15 years of private banking experience, having served in senior roles across Europe and Asia. He had been holding the position on an interim basis prior to this formal appointment.
In his new role, Douchin will be responsible for aligning processes, service delivery and operational strategy to support HSBC’s private banking growth across the region. The bank said his leadership will be central to delivering a more streamlined client experience and strengthening its digital infrastructure.
