A 20-year veteran and former DBS private banker has joined HSBC to lead a team covering Taiwanese clients through the offshore hub of Hong Kong and Singapore.
HSBC Private Bank has appointed Gloria Sun as market head of offshore Taiwan, according to a statement, effective 13. In the role, she will lead the British lender’s offshore Taiwan teams in Hong Kong and Singapore. Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Kansan Chan, head of private bank, North Asia and Hong Kong.
Sun has more than 20 years of leadership experience in private banking and wealth management across Greater China, most recently as senior market head for Taiwan at DBS. Prior to that, she also held senior private banking roles at Deutsche Bank and Bank of East Asia.
