IEQ Capital has appointed Lauren Garner as managing director, as the firm expands its ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client coverage in Southern California.

Based in Los Angeles, Garner will advise UHNW individuals and families, with a focus on investment strategy, estate planning, and long-term financial structuring. She brings more than 20 years of experience across public and private markets, direct investing, and manager selection.

Garner was most recently chief investment officer at Mozaic, a USD 4 billion multi-family office, where she oversaw client portfolios and led investment research. Her approach is grounded in endowment-style asset allocation, incorporating tax efficiency and multi-generational planning.

Prior to Mozaic, she held senior roles at Pritzker Group and Perella Weinberg Partners’ Agility business, advising family offices, endowments, and foundations. Earlier in her career, she worked at GoldenTree Asset Management, Tudor Investment Corporation, and Morgan Stanley.

In a statement, Frank McFarland, founding partner at IEQ Capital, said Garner’s experience “as both a direct investor and allocator across asset classes aligns strongly with our platform and client philosophy”.

IEQ Capital is a registered investment advisor managing approximately USD 41.7 billion in regulatory assets. The firm was founded in 2019 and is ranked among America’s top RIAs by Forbes and Barron’s.
