Indosuez Wealth Management has strengthened its investment capabilities with the relocation of a Geneva-based executive and the hire of a former Nomura discretionary portfolio management veteran.
Indosuez Wealth Management will relocate Muriel Aboud Schirmann from Geneva to Singapore as of August 1, according to a statement, reporting to Laurent Fradin, head of wealth solutions, Switzerland.
Schirmann is currently Indosuez’s head of advisory and capital markets in Switzerland and the move is expected to deepen links between Europe and Asia as clients increasingly seek sophisticated cross-border financial solutions.
She has two decades of experience in financial services, starting her career at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank before joining Indosuez in 2009, where she held senior investment and advisory positions leading teams across multiple products and asset classes.
DPM hire
The French private bank has also hired Louis Shen as head of discretionary portfolio management (DPM) for Asia – as newly established position – reporting to Su Qian, head of investment management, Asia.
Shen has close to 20 years of financial experience, including 13 years in DPM at UOB Private Bank, EFG, and, most recently at Nomura where he led the discretionary team.
“Asia is where the world’s most dynamic and rapidly growing markets are today, and staying ahead of our clients’ needs requires both localised expertise and cross-border decision-making,” commented Laurent Proutière, Asia CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management.
“Bringing Muriel in her senior leadership role from Switzerland to Singapore, alongside the creation of the new Head of DPM role in Louis, marks a significant milestone in our ambitions. Together, these moves significantly enhance our investment management ecosystem, ensuring our clients gain immediate access to top-tier advisory, institutional discretionary solutions, and private market opportunities right here in Asia.”
