Commercial Bank of Dubai’s (CBD) recognition in the “Best Private Bank Digital Innovation in Dubai” and “Best Private Bank – Digital Innovation” categories at Global Private Banking Innovation Awards 2026 is the latest milestone in a transformation. Since joining in January 2025, Chief Digital Officer Vladislavs Mironovs unified digital channels, technology, and AI to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Under Vladislavs’ leadership, CBD’s Digital Factory delivered +60 new digital capabilities and +50 self-service journeys, helping 95% digital transaction activity. Standout initiatives include a research-led redesign of CBD’s mobile banking app, the launch of a Unified Onboarding Channel reducing account opening time from 3.4 days to just 1.27 days, and achieving 74% digital service completion.
Vladislavs championed deploying Microsoft Copilot to +800 employees and launched the UAE banking sector’s first enterprise-wide AI literacy programme. This deployment delivered immediate operational impact, saving approximately 39,000 hours annually by reducing manual effort and boosting productivity. CBD also achieved regional milestones, becoming the first bank in the UAE to activate Open Finance in a live environment and the first bank in the Middle East to integrate Kinexys Liink, driving a 4.8 App Store rating.
Looking ahead, Vladislavs is focused on advancing app transformation, Open Finance, and AI personalisation. He credits success to a culture-first approach: “Digital transformation is only meaningful when customers genuinely feel the difference in their day-to-day banking. Technology should simplify complexity and not create complexity. The best digital experiences are the ones customers hardly notice because everything simply works.”
