Julius Baer has appointed Urs Brudermann as its new group head for Thailand, a newly created position.
In his new role, Brudermann will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s joint venture with Siam Commercial Bank, SCB-Julius Baer, alongside coverage of the region, while being based in Singapore and reporting directly to Shui Wei Ho, group head of South East Asia, Julius Baer.
Brudermann joins from Deutsche Bank, where he served as market head for South East Asia for three years. Prior to that, he worked at Credit Suisse’s private banking division for over 11 years in various senior roles. His career, spanning over two decades, began at UBS, where he spent nine years in various roles within the bank’s wealth management unit.
Commenting on the appointment, Ho said: “Urs’ knowledge of the Thai market, proven success in leading teams, and ability to build strong client relationships make him an invaluable asset. With his expertise, we will continue to provide exceptional service and tailor-made solutions to clients, positioning us perfectly for further expansion of our Thailand franchise.”
