Singapore-headquartered Lighthouse Canton has launched a wealth management platform dedicated to serving global Indian clients.
Lighthouse Canton has launched “Global Indian” – a dedicated cross-border wealth platform to serve non-resident Indian (NRI) clients, according to a statement.
The platform will service NRIs in five jurisdictions where the firm operates with regulated entities across India, GIFT City, Singapore, Dubai, and the UK. The offering will be based on four service pillars that cover cross-border wealth structuring, India investment access, global portfolio and reporting, as well as regulatory and tax navigation. It will also be supported by Keenai, a proprietary wealth platform that provides portfolio analytics, lifecycle management, consolidated multi-market reporting, and access to a digital investment marketplace.
The business will be led by Sumegh Bhatia, managing director and CEO – India and Global Indian.
Global equities fund
In addition, Lighthouse Canton has also introduced a Systematic Global Equities Fund domiciled in GIFT City, to offer Indian investors a tax-efficient, regulated vehicle to participate in global equity markets.
“India’s diaspora represents one of the most significant and consistently underserved wealth management opportunities in the world; a community whose financial lives span multiple geographies but has rarely been served as one integrated picture,” said Shilpi Chowdhary, Lighthouse Canton’s group CEO.
“NRI families frequently hold substantial wealth that is diminished in practice by fragmentation, as no single institution is accountable for the complete picture,” added Bhatia. “Global Indian has been designed so that a family resident in Dubai or London, with assets in Mumbai and Singapore, engages with one team, one consolidated view of its wealth, and one coherent set of decisions.”
The Indian diaspora is estimated to total 35 million individuals and according to the data from the Reserve Bank of India, remittances to the home country reached a record USD135 billion in the fiscal year of 2024-25, while NRI deposits exceeded USD164 billion as of March 2025.
