Lombard Odier has strengthened its Asia private clients franchise with a series of senior appointments across North and Southeast Asia, underscoring its push to deepen client coverage in key regional markets.
The Swiss private bank said on Thursday that Alfred Low has been named Hong Kong chief executive and Head of North Asia Markets, effective 1 September. He joins from Indosuez Wealth Management, where he was Managing Director and Head of North Asia Markets & Strategic Partnerships, and previously held senior roles at HSBC, Credit Suisse and UBS. Low will be based in Singapore before relocating to Hong Kong and will report to Omar Shokur, Lombard Odier’s Regional Head for Asia, Private Clients.
In Singapore, the bank has appointed Pei Pei Chern as Senior Relationship Manager with effect from 14 July. She was previously Managing Director at Julius Baer, overseeing the Greater China region, and has more than 25 years of wealth management experience across UBS and Citibank. Chern will report to Low and focus on developing client relationships in Taiwan.
The latest appointments build on the hiring of Andrea Meierhofer as Southeast Asia Market Head for Private Clients in December 2024. Meierhofer, who has nearly three decades of experience in wealth and asset management, joined from Pictet where he was Deputy Market Group Head for Southeast Asia.
“These appointments reinforce our leadership capabilities and long-term commitment to the region,” Shokur said in a statement. “We are confident that their extensive expertise in wealth and relationship management will enhance our presence and deliver a seamless experience for our clients in both North and Southeast Asia.”
The moves reflect Lombard Odier’s ongoing strategy to expand its Asian presence, where it has identified both North Asia and Southeast Asia as priority growth markets for its private clients business.
