Natixis CIB has named Jarek Olszowka as head of its Green and Sustainable Hub in Asia-Pacific, tasking him with expanding the bank’s sustainable finance and transition advisory efforts across the region.
Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking has appointed Jarek Olszowka as head of its Green and Sustainable Hub for the Asia-Pacific region, reinforcing the bank’s focus on sustainable finance across key growth markets. In his new role, Olszowka will be responsible for expanding Natixis CIB’s green and sustainable finance activities in the region, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to originate and deliver solutions aligned with environmental and transition objectives.
The bank said Olszowka’s remit will centre on supporting clients as they navigate their sustainability transitions, helping them access capital through sustainable financing structures and advising on strategies designed to meet long-term climate and sustainability targets. His appointment comes as demand for transition and sustainable finance continues to gain momentum across Asia-Pacific, despite uneven global progress on climate initiatives.
Based in Singapore, Olszowka will report to Sanjeev Kumar, senior country manager for Singapore and head of Southeast and South Asia, Raghu Narain, head of investment banking for Asia-Pacific, and Orith Azoulay, global head of green and sustainable finance. He brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, most recently serving as international head of sustainable finance and a debt syndicate specialist at a major Japanese financial services group, where he led sustainable finance initiatives within the investment banking business.
Raghu Narain said Olszowka’s background in sustainable and transition finance strengthens Natixis CIB’s ability to support clients in their energy transition efforts, adding that the Asia-Pacific region remains a priority market for the bank’s sustainable finance ambitions.
