The wealth management arm of Canada-headquartered RBC continues its hiring spree with the hire of half a dozen private bankers in Hong Kong and Singapore.

RBC Wealth Management has hired six new bankers in Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a statement, as part of its commitment to serving clients with complex, multi-jurisdictional wealth planning needs.

In Hong Kong, the bank appointed Ivy Ma as executive director, Jackson Huang as director, and Malcolm Chai as associate director.

Ma has over 20 years of experience, joining from Standard chartered where she was head of market sales. Prior to that, she also worked at DBS across the private banking, corporate banking, and retail banking segments.

Huang has more than 25 years of private wealth experience serving ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients in Greater China. He was most recently a senior director at J. Safra Sarasin and previously held senior roles at DBS Private Bank, Julius Baer, and Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management.

Chai was most recently working at UBS Global Family and Institutional Wealth, where he was co-managing UHNW clients, family offices, and institutions throughout Greater China and Southeast Asia. Previously, he held relationship management roles at Julius Baer after earlier positions at OCBC and Credit Suisse.

Singapore trio

In addition, RBC Wealth Management in Singapore has also named Shirley Tee as managing director, team head for North Asia, George Joseph as director for the global South Asia team, and Sindy Shi as associate director.

Tee has over two decades of private banking experience, joining from Bank of Singapore where she was team head of Indonesia after previously serving as head of investment advisors and interim market head of Philippines. She spent the early part of her career at UBS as a discretionary portfolio manager.

Joseph brings more than 18 years of private banking experience, having previously worked at DBS Private Bank, ANZ, and Citibank Singapore.

Shi joins from UOB where she was a privilege banking relationship manager for the offshore Greater China market.

RBC Wealth Management in Asia has been on a hiring spree in 2026, particularly for the front office. In July, it hired former UBS executive Thomas Jost as head of financial intermediaries (FIM) desk in Singapore. In June, its Hong Kong office added four bankers – Amanda Yeung, Felix Yuan, Anthony Shiu, and Desmond Kwong.
