Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has appointed Peerapong Jirasevijinda as first executive vice president, head of private banking, in addition to his current position as the CEO of SCB-Julius Baer Securities.
In his newly appointed role, Jirasevijinda’s key objective will be to lead SCB Private Banking, the bank’s wealth management arm and a “core business” with its aim to be the number one digital bank in wealth management.
SCB’s strategy includes the adoption of digital technology capabilities to offer a wide range of investment solutions meeting financial needs and developing a team of professional personal financial and investment advisors to offer tailored investment strategies and plans for each client.
Speaking on the appointment, Kris Chantanotoke, CEO of SCB, said: “Mr. Jirasevijinda has more than 27 years of experience with leading financial institutions in the finance and investment industry, particularly wealth management, and across a wide range of investment products and assets.
“Using his deep knowledge and expertise in the domestic mutual fund industry, he has developed investment strategies and execution plans for clients that will enable them to seize business opportunities for corporate growth.
“ We are confident that his leadership will realize our strategy of becoming Thailand’s number one digital bank in wealth management and the favorite among private banking clients in Thailand.”
