Bordier & Cie Singapore serves as the Asian hub of the Bordier Group, supporting entrepreneurs, families and family offices across the region while connecting international clients to Asian investment opportunities. Operating within a global private-banking partnership spanning three continents, six countries and twelve cities, the Singapore team combines regional expertise with the bank’s long-standing commitment to independent advice and long-term wealth stewardship.

Founded in 1844 and owned and managed by the fifth generation of the founding family, Bordier remains one of the few private banks structured as an unlimited-liability partnership. This model places personal accountability at the centre of decision-making, enabling senior professionals to remain closely involved in client relationships and investment decisions while prioritising long-term outcomes over short-term growth.

The team’s disciplined approach received global recognition in 2025 when Bordier & Cie earned four honours at the Global Private Banking Innovation Awards, including World’s Best Boutique Private Bank, Best Private Bank for Digital Assets, Best Family Office Offering, and Best Next-Gen Offering (Southeast Asia). For the Singapore office, the accolades reflected the consistent execution of its strategy rather than a shift in direction. The past year also brought stronger client engagement, increased market recognition and selective front-office hires to deepen regional expertise.

“Our model is deliberately different. By remaining boutique, independent and personally accountable, we’re able to focus on clarity, governance and long-term relevance for our clients rather than scale for its own sake. That consistency allows families to make decisions with confidence as their wealth, structures and priorities evolve,” says Valérie d’Argembeau, CEO at Bordier & Cie Singapore.

Bordier & Cie Singapore continues to pursue measured growth across Asia, with a particular focus on expanding its next-generation offering. By strengthening governance, education and succession planning for emerging wealth holders while applying innovation thoughtfully, the team aims to help families navigate increasingly complex wealth across generations, jurisdictions and asset classes without compromising the principles of independence, transparency and accountability that have defined the bank for more than 180 years.

The world’s preeminent Private Banks and Wealth Managers are demonstrating a committed drive in innovation, advisory, new products and services to meet the sophisticated needs of their clients.

      COVID-19
Amid economic activity revival on the back of the Covid-19 vaccine program, organisations moving from business continuity plans to stable working environments, together with the slightest improvement in unemployment numbers, forced the world to adjust to new realities. Coming to terms with the “new normal”, global investors are now on the look-out for attractive and stable investment opportunities.

Needs of Private Wealth customers and families worldwide have drastically changed due to the pandemic and banks have had to accelerate efforts to deploy a multi-channel service strategy and safeguard clients’ businesses and wealth against negative impacts of economic uncertainly.

The Global Private Banking Innovation Awards will recognise the world’s best private banks, wealth managers and asset managers that are championing innovation across advisory, service, products, customer experience and more.
