Maybank continues to strengthen its regional wealth management franchise, combining technology, integrated capabilities and a more client-centric approach under the leadership of Alice Tan Siew Hwee, Head of Group Wealth Management.
With more than 28 years in financial services, including over 17 years in private banking and wealth management, Tan brings experience across investment advisory, product innovation and client relationship management. Since taking the role in 2024, she has helped reshape the bank’s wealth management business, contributing to 28% year-on-year growth in wealth fees across Group Wealth Management and 39% growth in Wealth Management Singapore.
A key focus has been digital transformation. Tan has driven enhanced digital advisory capabilities, self-directed investment platforms and AI-powered tools that enable relationship managers to deliver more timely, personalised and data-driven advice.
The Singapore wealth management business recorded SGD 176 million (USD 137 million) in total revenue, representing 64% year-on-year growth within six months of the combined wealth management segments coming under her leadership.
“Our goal is to help clients achieve their financial aspirations with confidence by providing trusted advice, relevant solutions, and a seamless wealth management experience,” says Tan.
Maybank sees opportunities in tokenised and digital assets, alongside more sophisticated investment and structuring solutions for private clients. The bank also continues to develop its intergenerational wealth and business succession proposition, helping entrepreneurial families prepare future generations through wealth education, leadership development and structured succession planning.
