Three former HSBC private bankers establish Swiss EAM Advisory Group

Three bankers, who all previously worked at HSBC and Credit Suisse, have joined hands to launch Advisory Group, an independent wealth advisory firm headquartered in Zurich.

Advisory Group has officially launched in Zurich as a privately owned, independent Swiss investment and wealth advisory firm, according to an announcement. The company will focus on wealth and investment advisory, asset management, bespoke financing, strategic asset structuring, and tailored complex solutions to serve ultra-high net wroth individuals, families, and institutional clients.

The company has been established by three partners including, founder and CEO Patrick D’Amico, head of advisory and products Christian Hiller, and head of investment office Thomas Schaad. Ralf Baumann also joins as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

HSBC and CS alumni

The three founder were all most recently working at HSBC Private Bank with D’Amico serving as global market head of Qatar, while Hiller and Schaad were senior relationship managers, also advising clients in the Middle East. In addition, D’Amico, Hiller, and Schaad previously worked at Credit Suisse for 26 years, 19 years, and 15 years, respectively.

We remain closely connected across Switzerland, the Gulf and the world’s major financial centres,” D’Amico said. “My sincere thanks to the clients, partners and colleagues who have supported us over the years. I look forward to continuing these relationships and building new opportunities together through Advisory Group.”
