As global private banking enters a new phase of structural transformation, institutions are navigating prolonged macro-economic uncertainty, geopolitical fragmentation, and rapidly evolving client expectations driven by generational wealth transfer and digital sophistication. In 2024/25, private banks are under pressure to move beyond product-centric models towards holistic, technology-enabled wealth propositions that deliver deeper advisory, access to alternative and private market opportunities, and seamless cross-border client experiences, while managing heightened market volatility, regulatory scrutiny, and cost pressures to drive sustainable value across the wealth lifecycle.
Under the Global Private Banking Innovation Awards 2025 programme, Global Private Banker received more than 270 submissions from over 80 institutions across 33 markets, spanning Europe, the Americas, Asia, and key global wealth hubs. Submissions were evaluated using Global Private Banker’s proprietary assessment framework, which benchmarks institutions across four core pillars: Innovation, Client Experience, Financial and Market Performance, and Strategy. The framework places particular emphasis on the ability of private banks to deploy next-generation technologies, deliver differentiated advisory and product capabilities, and execute strategies that support sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive landscape.
The Top 100 Global Private Banks Report 2025 presents the results of this independent, data-driven assessment, ranking institutions based on quantitative and qualitative performance indicators.
