Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has reinforced its North Asia franchise with three senior appointments in Hong Kong, drawing talent from Bank of Singapore (BOS) and Citi as it builds out coverage of ultra–high net worth clients in Greater China.
Aaron Lee, formerly with BOS and HSBC Private Bank, joins as team head after two decades in wealth management. He will report to Teresa Lee, UBP’s chief executive of Hong Kong and regional head of North Asia.
Also joining from BOS is Charles Tam, who began his career at Citi before moving into relationship management. He specialises in portfolio advisory and succession planning for family clients across the region.
UBP has further added Sue Peng as relationship manager. She spent the past decade at Citi Private Bank advising UHNW families, and previously held an investment banking role at UBS, where she covered equity and debt financing for Chinese corporates.
The appointments follow UBP’s decision last year to name Teresa Lee, a former BOS vice-chair for Greater China, to lead its Hong Kong business. Since then, the Swiss private bank has been selectively hiring to deepen its presence in the region, where demand for cross-border wealth solutions remains resilient.
