Digital asset banking group Sygnum has hired a 25-year private banking veteran as its CEO in Singapore. His predecessor and co-founder will stay with the firm to focus on capital markets and fundraising.
Sygnum Singapore has appointed Reto Marx as CEO, according to a statement, succeeding co-founder Gerald Goh who will become executive chairman of Sygnum APAC to lead leading capital markets and fundraising efforts, investor relations, and key strategic initiatives, particularly in the region.
Marx has 25 years of wealth management experience, most recently as CEO, co-head Singapore, and chief risk officer, Asia at VP Bank Singapore. Previously, he held various leadership roles across Hong Kong and Singapore at UBS, Credit Suisse, and Bank Sarasin.
