UK conglomerate Weatherbys has hired two senior private bankers to join its team in London.
Weatherbys Private Bank has appointed Mark Hassett and Heather Sonnet as senior private bankers in its London team, according to a statement.
Hassett has a background working with high net worth clients to support their complex, multi-jurisdictional needs. She previously held senior leadership roles at the Royal Bank of Canada and EFG.
Sonnet has more than 30 years of experience as a Chartered & Certified Financial Planner as well as private banker, serving in roles across the sector, from director to business owner.
Double size by 2030
Weatherbys recently released its 2025 results which saw growth across the board, including an increase in total assets to over GBP2 billion. At the beginning of last year, the bank announced its ambition to double in size by 2030.
“It has been great to watch our team grow in line with our targets. It’s vital that, while we focus on expansion, we don’t lose sight of the key values and ‘people first’ approach that make Weatherbys the bank it is. That’s why I’m pleased to welcome these two new bankers, who bring considerable experience in financial services to our London office,” remarked Oliver Barnett, head of private clients at Weatherbys Private Bank.
